Why We Exist
For more than a century, Black families have experienced one of the greatest losses of generational wealth in American history through the loss of family-owned land.
Since 1910, more than 12 million acres of Black-owned farmland have been lost. Much of that land was not taken by force. It was lost through heirs' property, probate complications, tax sales, unclear titles, predatory practices, and the absence of trusted guidance during critical family decisions.
Those losses continue to affect families, communities, and generational opportunity today.
ACRES KEPT was created because we believe the next hundred years can tell a different story.
Our mission begins by helping address the historic loss of Black-owned family land through education, trusted relationships, and informed stewardship.
In building that mission, we discovered that many families across America face similar stewardship challenges. Today, the platform we have built helps families preserve land, protect legacy, and build generations while remaining grounded in the mission that inspired its creation.

Our Beginning
ACRES KEPT is an initiative of Keziah LandBridge.
Keziah LandBridge was established to help address the historic loss of Black-owned family land by creating practical pathways that strengthen stewardship, preserve ownership, and expand generational opportunity.
Through years of listening to families, working with community leaders, and studying the challenges surrounding heirs' property, succession planning, and land continuity, it became clear that families needed more than information.
They needed a trusted guide.
That vision became ACRES KEPT—a mission-driven technology platform and private stewardship network that combines education, thoughtful technology, trusted relationships, and personalized guidance to help families make informed decisions about their land.
While our roots remain firmly grounded in preserving Black family land, our platform now serves families from many backgrounds who share the desire to preserve land, protect legacy, and build generations.
